Art Seminar: Andrea Fagerstrom

April 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Artist Andrea Fagerstrom, Minot State Juried Student Show Juror, will be presenting to Art Seminar students at Minot State University’s Aleshire Theater at 12:00 pm on April 8.

Andrea Fagerstrom received her BFA from North Dakota State University and earned her MFA in Integrated Arts and Education from the University of Montana, Missoula, MT. Fagerstrom approaches art creation as a combination of play and process. Using a variety of media including painting, drawing, weaving, encaustic, and installation, she embarks on the artistic journey where each step dictates the following. The end result being the conclusion and solution to multiple decisions and problem-solving along the way. Fagerstrom is currently an Assistant Professor of Art and the Art Gallery Coordinator at Bismarck State College.

Arts Seminar presentations offer students and the public the opportunity to learn about the work, lives and experiences of guest artists visiting Minot State University. This event is free and open to the public. We invite you to attend! Masks are not required, but individuals who are not fully vaccinated or deemed vulnerable are encouraged to continue to wear masks.

Aleshire Theater is located in Hartnett Hall on the Minot State University Campus. The presentation will also be streamed live on the Northwest Arts Center’s Facebook page.

This program is funded in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
