Reception: Becoming American

Join us at the public reception and online viewing for ‘Becoming American’. Meet the artist, Dong Kyu Kim, Americas 2020: All Media Best of Show award winner, on September 1 from 6:30-8 p.m.
On view from September 1 to 30, Kim’s solo exhibition of mixed media artworks chronicle his experience as a Korean immigrant living in the United States.

Scheduled is an artist’s talk at 7 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. We invite you to join us! Masks are not required, but individuals who are not fully vaccinated or deemed vulnerable are encouraged to continue to wear masks.

The Arts Center is open TWThF, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 1-5 p.m. and by special arrangement. It is closed holidays. The Walter Piehl Gallery is located in the Northwest Arts Center on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library, with its own entrance on the south side of the library.
